I installed the unit as close to the Waytek ABS-200 (Auxiliary Battery Switch) as possible. 10 gauge wiring was used for the two battery (Red) conductors while a 14 gauge wire was used for the ground conductor (Black). The Amp-L-Start will continually charge the chassis AGM at .3 amps until the coach lithium batteries are down to about 30% SOC. This amounts to about 7-8 ah per day that I’m losing while off-grid. Not big, but I’d rather not lose this power.

Apr 08, 2015 · I ran the Trikle-L-Start for over a year and it did it's job. When I discovered the bigger Amp-L-Start I replaced the smaller unit which was working fine. The reason I did that was that the defective OEM unit was a 15 amp and I just thought that having the same rating would be extra insurance.
